A lot has been going on so I'll try to update through pictures which is the funnest part of any blog anyways. :)
4.5.12 was donuts with dads at school. As Larry and Bayleigh were heading out to the car I remembered to grab a pic for this blog. Well, neither wanted their picture taken and I was told I had 3 seconds to get my shot and Bayleigh agreed and said after I took it THERE! Now if it's not good you don't get another shot. BRATS! Hey, at least I got a smile out of her!
4.7.12 happened to be the day before Easter and we found ourselves yet again rushing to get to the mall to see the Easter bunny and color eggs. We had to go to the mall prior to my nephew's birthday party and by the time we got home and got everything done it....we were coloring eggs at 10 PM! LOL! BUT, we got them done and had fun in the process. Bayleigh was thrilled that the eggs "magically" had our names along with God and Jesus written on them. This is one thing that will really disappoint her when she realizes the truth behind it all.
4.8.12 was Easter Sunday and it was a delight! Of course we were exhausted from the busy, busy weekend, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. We didn't do the sunrise service because we knew it would be meltdown mode for Bayleigh and she had a role in the Easter Cantata during the 11 o'clock service and we couldn't have that. So, we hit the 9 am service instead. At 10 they had an Easter egg hunt for the kids, but prior to that they watched a short film about Easter and we had a candlelight prayer. The above picture is of Bayleigh and her little friend Caroline.
After church we came home and had our annual/traditional Easter dinner with my mom, her friend, Larry's dad, Larry's cousins, and his uncle. It was a great dinner and it was nice to catch up.
4.9,10,12,and 13.12 Bayleigh participated in a basketball camp at the high school for grades K-2. The camp was meant to teach the girls at a young age the fundamentals of basketball to get them interested so that when they are old enough to play they hopefully enjoy it and will have a successful team. I hope I get this right, but the lady that taught them, her name is Donna Sullivan and I THINK she is the assistant coach to the girls at the high school. She is in the Basketball Hall of Fame for coaching and let me tell you...she was GOOOOOD! This camp was 100% free and each girl got a certificate of participation and a basketball at the end. They also had 4 categories that offered 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and we couldn't hear very well what they were for because we were at the top of the gym watching, but Bayleigh took 3rd spot in both the ball handling and shooting competitions for the first graders.
This week too is panning out to be very busy. Monday was Bayleigh's first Little League Practice. She is playing on the team called Able Storage and we are really looking forward to the season. Yesterday, Bayleigh had gymnastics to make up for last week. Tonight is church, Thursday is gymnastics again, and Friday I work late. Saturday, we have plans with some friends. Sunday, Bayleigh is being rebaptized and then I have a photo shoot. Monday, LL practice again. Tuesday is a school program. Wednesday is church. Thursday is gymnastics. OH GEEZE! It never stops! LOL! Oh well, school is ending soon so that will be nice because we won't have homework and early bed times on top of all we are doing. :)
Hope this blog finds you well. Until next blog!
