10 Years of Marriage!

A long, long time ago, back in 1997 I was just a 15 year old teenage girl in the 10th grade. I met this boy that was a Senior in our High School. We met in a library class we took together of all places. There was only 3 students. LOL! We immediately became great friends. Probably best friends if you want the truth about it. Not long after becoming such great friends, this boy asked me to be his girl. Of course I said yes--he was, (still is), amazing! We had so much fun together and laughed constantly. We had fun with his friends and made many memories.
My mom of course was not thrilled with the idea of her 15 year old dating an 18 year old, but she realized quickly he wasn't going anywhere and they too hit it off.
My Senior year of High School, just before Christmas Larry asked me to marry him. Again...of course I said yes! We'd been together for 3 years already and knew that no matter where life took us....we wanted to go together. I graduate High School in June of 2000. Not long after I graduated Larry and I moved in together and became renters in our first home together. :) I then decided that I had a ring on my finger and I was ready to put the wedding band with it. :) After all...I was voted first to be married in my class. LOL! June 30th, 2001 we wed. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony and the reception was a ton of fun too.
Larry and I honemooned at Disney World of course, because when kids get married they go to Disney World. LOL!
Our marriage has been wonderful. I am not foolish enough to pretend it's been all lovey, dovey, wonderful goodness. It hasn't been. We, like every couple have had our bickerings and disagreements, but we have always made up. That's the fun part right?!
Now, on to some pictures. I have to apologize now because technology hates me at the moment and nothing is working right. I had to take these of pictures I had and then email them to myself so the quality is terrible. Sorry.

This is Larry and I at one of our wedding showers in 2001. We look so young...oh we are!
When a dad doesn't step up to be a dad....Papa's get to fill in. (miss him so much)Cutting the cake!

Larry,

After 10 years of marriage you are still my very best friend. Thank you for everything you have brought into my life and for loving me, inspite of me. I love you so much!

Quack, Quack, Quack...Awwww!

Today was so AWESOME! My mom called and I remembered that her work was letting them volunteer in town to clean up the circle and City Hall. I joked earlier in the week that I was going to drive by and honk and point and laugh. LOL! So as soon as I got off the phone with her, I loaded the kids up and we headed to town. She said they were at Pizza Hut having lunch, so I sent Bayleigh and Colin in by themselves to surprise her. I called as I got into town to make sure they were still there and even told the kids I was going to trick her and make her think we were at the house by yelling, "Trent! Stop jumping on the couch"! LOL! It worked, but Bayleigh got a fit of the giggles when I did it and I almost couldn't control my laughter because as we all know....Bayleigh's laugh is my MOST FAVORITE thing in the world. :D So, anyways...we pulled off the surprise.
Next we headed to Taco Bell because it clearly was lunch time and I told the kids we could go to the park to eat, but we couldn't play because we had to rush home for Colin and Cate to leave. They were all cool with that and were very well behaved. When we got to the shelter we instantly spotted the baby ducklings! AWWWWW! They were skidish at first, but as we ate they kept walking up to us. By the time it was said and done they were letting us pet them. Then eating from our hands. Then letting us HOLD THEM! AWWWWW! It was such a surprise for our afternoon and we all LOVED it. Below are some pictures. WARNING!!! Complete CUTENESS below! ;)

Bayleigh and Colin named the ducklings Dapper, Tom, and Jerry. Thanks for checking in! Until next blog!

Love,

Jenn

Gymnastic Videos!

Running Cartwheels!

Round Off Attempts! She hasn't mastered these yet, but the funny thing is that as she was learning to do cartwheels...she was doing round offs all the time. LOL!

Balance Beam! They use the big balance beam too, but a couple of weeks ago the gym got hit by a tornado and it was off to the side and it was still messy over there. Her friends in her class this day are Zoey and Nathan.

Regular Cartwheels. Not the Running Ones!

SomerSaults! (sp?)

I am not sure what these are called, but they are SO funny! The first time we went she couldn't lift her bottom off the floor and they had to give her a boost! She came home that evening and was DETERMINED to get them right and SHE DID!
Sorry this is a little messed up with my words, but my computer is giving me fits. As you can see...Bayleigh is in Gymnastics and LOVES it! The above videos don't have any sound because I tried to be extra quiet from the viewing area. She goes on Thursday nights from 5:15 to 6. Sorry they are sideways. I always forget that when taking a video on my phone. It looks fine when I am recording and then again when I play them back, but on YouTube they are sideways. Thanks for checking in!

Not Happy About the Out....

Did that title get ya thinkin??? :) I have some explaining to do. Last night Bayleigh had her fourth Little League game of the season. She played terribly. A couple of practices ago the ball popped up and hit her in the chin. It has made her skidish of the ball and she is not getting in front of them to stop them like she should. Before the game we took to the field to get a shoooooort practice in and one right after the other, the balls blew passed her and into the field. Bayleigh plays short stop between Second and Third Base. I was FRUSTRATED to say the least. I get that she is nervous, but I also get that she is better than that and KNOWS what to do. So, to see her not do it....well, it's frustrating. I told her coach Scott before the game...Hey, if you have to move her because she isn't stopping the balls go for it. Sure enough a couple of balls got passed her so he moved little Madison over to do the job. That resulted in Bayleigh basically covering Second base. We have come to the conclusion Bayleigh is a MAGNET for the ball and they started heading her way again. I was SO PROUD OF HER when she stopped the ball AND made it to Second to get the runner out!!! I was cheering for her. She threw her arms in the air celebrating just like Rocky did when he reached the top of the steps in the Rocky movie! I was proud. So, here comes the eplaination for my title. I was NOT cheering for the little girl that got out, because nobody wants to see the little girls get out after putting so much effort into hitting the ball and then making it thru the bases. I feel so bad for getting THAT excited, because I WAS THAT excited about the PLAY. LOL! Not to mention....I knew it was going to boost Bayleigh's confidence--which is EXACTLY what she needed at that point. SO, sorry to the little girl and her family...and her team for my excited cheers. :)
I do have to add....the next inning...yeah, the ball blew right passed Bayleigh again. LOL! IN HER DEFENSE....Dan: the pitcher, Scott: the coach, and Me: the mom all said to Bayleigh...you get that ball and you tag Second base again. Well, when she ran out into the field to get the ball she missed, instead of THROWING the ball in, she ran it up to Second. SO, she did what she was told. Larry and I will be spending this week fielding balls with her and EXPLAINING where she went wrong in yesterday's game so she will know what to do next time...hopefully. :)
Hope your summer is going great. We've spent ours swimming and going to Little League Games and Gymnastics. It's been FUN so far. Thanks for checking in! Until Next Blog!
Love,
Jenn

Last Day of Kindergarten: 6.2.11

I cannot believe that the day is already here that I am saying my daughter is DONE with Kindergarten!!! DONE! Can you believe that?! The following are a random group of pictures that was taken throughout Bayleigh's Kindergarten year 2010-2011 taken by her teacher Mrs. Dalley. When we came home I was crying because she is getting so big. She was crying because she wanted to go back to Kindergarten. We were a hot mess to say the least.

This is a rabbit she is holding!

:'(

This is it...the final report card from the Kindergarten year announcing she is promoted to the FIRST GRADE! I don't know if Mrs. Dalley will ever read my blog, but if she does this is what I have to say.....

Mrs. D,

YOU ARE AMAZING! It was so comforting knowing we sent Bayleigh off each morning into your loving hands. I have SO much respect for you and appreciate EVERYTHING you did to set the foundation for our Bayleigh to begin her successful school career. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Love,

Jenn

Kindergarten Spelling Bee: 6.1.11

I know this blog might sound as if I am bragging, but I am not. I am just proud so I want to share. :)
On June 1st, 2011 Mrs. Dalley held a Spelling Bee in her classroom. Bayleigh won First place and brought home a certificate and $1.

The next day all of the students got together with Mrs. Corlett's class for another Spelling Bee and Bayleigh made it to the top 8 and they ran out of time. The top 8 got to pick prizes out of the prize box and she picked a Tootsie Roll for me. I love when she is at school and thinks of me. :)
Way to GO Bayleigh! We are so proud of you and LOVE that all your study efforts are paying off. Keep up the great work. We love you!
Love,
Jenn

Kindergarten Talent Show: 5.31.11

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 Mrs. Dalley's class put on a talent show. It was CUTE! I took Trent and Cate up and we watched. I have pictures on my camera, but my computer is acting up and randomly shuts itself off so I am not going to mess with it right now. Talents included cartwheels, card tricks, knock-knock jokes, bike riding, and much more.
Bayleigh's talents included hula hooping and doing a cartwheel. Very fun morning. I love being involved with Bayleigh and I am thankful she has an amazing teacher that allows me to be so hands on. I don't think her teachers next year will allow that, but I will certainly try. :)
Love,
Jenn

Kindergarten Celebration: 5.23.11

Monday, May 23, 2011 proved to be a very busy day for us! It was the day of Bayleigh's Kindergarten Celebration...celebration vs graduation because not all of the Kindergarteners will go to the First Grade, but they were included in the program as well. :) It was also my first PTO meeting to get to know the other board members for the 2011-2012 school year. It ALSO was a VERY active weather day that included tornado warnings that started right at 6 O'clock...same time as my meeting and exactly 1 hour prior to the K celebration program. WHEWWW! The program started late, but ended up being a terrific show!

Larry and I sent congratulations flowers and a balloon to school for Bayleigh that morning. She was so proud. :) ((not nearly as proud as we are of her being our daughter)).

All dolled up and ready to go!

All of the Kindergarteners for the 2011 school year...minus the girl I cut off in the picture to the left on the top row. Sorry!

The program included the hula moves!!!

Here they sang What a Wonderful World using sign language...this is where they sang I love you!

And this is 'tree's of green'!

It included the "Freeze Dance"...Bayleigh ROCKED this song out!! She was quite the little ham!

Lots of songs!!!

Prior to the show they did a lighting test...The little Ham was already at it! Ethan looks so cute checking her out!!!

I LOVE how Cendall is looking at her here!! Bayleigh is SO animated. LOL!

Each student made a "person" that hung on the front of the stage.

My mom, Rachel, and Max joined us for the program to support our favorite little girl. Here she is posing with our favorite little boy. ;)

The whole program was SO awesome. All of the children did a great job. I have to admit...I did find myself getting a little teary eyed....Imagine that right?! LOL! I can't believe she is already done with Kindergarten. Time really does fly.

Bayleigh,

You have made your mom and dad so very proud. You are so smart and so wonderful in every way. We love you!

Love,

Jenn

First Little League Game

Yesterday, June 2, 2011 Bayleigh had her first Little League Game of the season. The others were rescheduled due to the weather.
We played Knock On Wood and we lost 9-10. All of the girls played GREAT! It was a ton of fun.
I kept the books for the first time ever. I was nervous, but did just fine. You don't have a lot of time to do much between hitters. I hope that gets better with time. LOL!

Love,

Jenn

Kindergarten Field Day: 5.27.11

Field Day for the whole elementary was Friday, May 27th, 2011. I called Bayleigh's teacher the night before and asked if I could hang with the class for the morning so I could watch the kids enjoy the events of the day. She said I could so I did. :) The entire track area was full of different stations with various games. Most of the games the students had to be divided into teams. I took the blue team from our class and lead them, while Mrs. Dalley took the white team. Kaylee's mom and brother joined us a couple games into as well so it was nice to have her extra hands too.

Here they had to catch balls in the nets and keep score...yeah, we didn't keep score on this one. LOL!

Here is Josee and Bayleigh getting ready for another game. Aren't they adorable?!

They had to run down to the cone while holding a noodle between their backs.

Then they had to run back while holding the noodle between their legs!

This is my entire blue team minus Kaylee and her little brother Caden. Caden was a class team member and played some games on the white team as well. He is a DOLL!

Shyla, Loriann, Josee, Maliah, Bayleigh, Hannah, and Jackie.

Cuties! Josee, Maliah, Bayleigh, and Cendall

This is Bayleigh's whole class minus Sara who was absent, plus Caden Kaylee's brother.

Row 1: Ethan, Caleb, Halanta, Caden, Josee, Bayleigh, and Cendall.

Row 2. Haiden, Gabe, David, Shyla, Kaylee, Madison, Loriann, Maliah, Hannah, Jackie.

The day was chilly and damp, but FUN anyways. We crammed in several games and all of the children were wonderful! I was so happy I went.

Love,
Jenn

Kindergarten Field Trip 5.26.11

My pictures on this blog are out of order, but you'll still get how the day went!
On Thursday, May 26th, 2011 the entire Kindergarten class went on a field trip. We went to Edinburg (sp?), Indiana to Not Just Popcorn popcorn factory, the library, and the park.
The day started late due to a 2 hour delay thanks to bad weather and a tornado hitting Morristown. Our schools are in a district together so because they had no power we got in on the delay as well. That didn't break my heart because I was up til early hours of the morning watching the radar on TV.
Bayleigh and 3 other of her classmates ended up with the Full day kids so that the groups were somewhat even. That was fine with us. Our group hit the factory first and then the library...hence the out of order pictures and then we all met up together for lunch in the park and then headed home. The day was gorgeous!!!

Here is a picture of our group listening to stories about popcorn from the librarian. I was surprised how well they all did considering it was almost 12:30 when we got done and I know I was sure hungry.

Here is Lemon Lime popcorn being made. The flavoring is a hard candy coating. Pretty neat.

Bayleigh standing in front of already made popcorn. They have a bag that holds 28 pounds of popcorn. It was HUGE!

Here the students are watching the coating going on. After they got to try a sample and they were very interested in that!

This is the popcorn after it pops. it goes through this machine that filters out the seeds. The seeds are then fed to the birds and chipmunks.

Just below bayleigh is a bag that they popcorn falls into. The factory is VERY small, but very neat. We ended up with free samples of Caramel and Confetti that includes, Blue Raspberry, Lemon, Orange, Grape, Green Apple, and Strawberry. I purchased Peanut Butter and Jelly (grape), Dill Pickle (the #2 selling flavor just below Caramel), Chicago Cheddar--gross, Banana Split that included icecream, banana, chocolate, strawberry, and pineapple and then we bought Larry Blue and while for colts colors and was icecream and blue raspberry flavored. Other than the Dill and Chicago Cheddar we just purchased sample bags. It was good.

This was the first time the school took a field trip here, but I am pretty sure that due to the success of our trip an annual trip is in the future for other students.

Love,

Jenn

No Parking???

I have to laugh...Larry tells me all the time that I can't drive, (in my defense...he taught me). I think I am busted....parking is def. not my forte! I think that the reason I can't park is because I can't back up very well, especially in this huge truck so as I park I try to position myself in a way that I can easily get out, without realizing it.
Then my good friend mentioned that they move the parking lines when I am in my destination...I like her way of thinking! :)

The above is the photo that really caught my attention to how bad I actually am! The hilarious thing is that my good friend mentioned above was with me and neither of us noticed it until we came out of the store. Then we instantly started laughing. LOL! Yes, I AM, THAT bad!!!

Love,

Jenn
