As you can see I've decked out the blog background for St. Patrick's Day that will be here in about a month! I love St. Patrick's Day, but not for the drinking, but rather for the colors and decorations! I'm weird...I know.

I have also added 2 new buttons on the right side of my blog! Under the little "flashy" kids, there are direct links to follow me on Pinterest and also on Twitter. I don't twitter much, but I still have it regardless. :)

I did not include my Facebook link because odds are, if you have found this blog it came from Facebook anyways. Unless you are a particular stalker--then, well, if you're him....you're just plain crazy and I'd love to figure out why you stalk my blog anyways. Just sayin'....

Eye Doctor!

Bayleigh had her annual eye dr. appt. on Friday, Feb. 10th, 2012. We learned that her script changed again so she needs another pair of glasses! Her right eye, the nearsightedness got better, but the astigmatism got worse. Her left eye, the nearsightedness got worse...booooo! So, anyways, we got to pick out new glasses. Bayleigh went into it wanting purple with jewels on the side. Then, the purple changed to pink. We decided that we would let her pick because....she's old enough now...dun, dun, duuuuuuuuuuh! (That's me being dramatic)! SO, first pair...SCREAMING PINK! Lord help us! She tried on about 8 pair and we got to the pair she picked and THANKFULL, THANKFULLY...she LOVED how they felt! Also, to prove she's old enough...she chose based on fit and comfort and not just looks! Smart girl! SO, onto the pics, out of order of course...

FINALLY! Here are the pics from Bayleigh's 7th Birthday Party from back in November!

Walk-A-Thon Winner!

WES hosted their first ever Walk-A-Thon on Monday, Feb. 6th, 2012. For a couple of weeks prior to the Walk-A-Thon students collected sponsorships from friends, family, and neighbors to help raise money for the event. If student's raised $25 they got a T-Shirt that said Super Walker with the event information on it. For every $100 in sponsorships the students got their name put into a random drawing to win a 19 inch flat screen TV. Bayleigh raised $173 for the school. She did a great job! At the end of the day, her principal drew a winner out of the $100 collectors and Bayleigh WON! YAY Bayleigh!!! In addition to winning the TV, during the Walk-A-Thon, which took place during specials times with the entire grade getting together, there was a hula hoop competition and also a volleyball competition during the Walk-A-Thon that students could participate in if they choose too. Bayleigh won the hula hoop competition out of her whole grade as well! For that she won a glow necklace. When I brought her home after school she was so excited and said, "Mom, Monday must be my lucky day"! :D I think she's right! Good Job Bayleigh!
